Most of us see walking simply as a means to an end, a way of getting from A-B. What most people don't realise is that walking is also one of the most effective forms of all round exercises there is. It's also suitable and safe for pretty much anybody - regardless of age, fitness level or ability. Getting involved in regular walking can dramatically improve your health and make you feel less stressed.

Governments at all levels are increasingly recognising the importance of walking for the nation's health, and health professionals now recommend that everyone aim to do 30 minutes of moderate exercise (such as walking) at least five times a week. We have compiled four walks within Roma into one easy brochure for your information.

The walks are physical, mental, spiritual, social, environmental and economic wellbeing through increased opportunities for active and healthy living.

If you have any ideas on how we can work collaboratively with the community to improve the wellbeing of all residents through the concept of active and healthy living, please feel free to contact us.

Did you know that walking can…

Interesting, enjoyable and you'll be doing your heart and health a favour at the same time! We encourage everyone to get out, get active and enjoy the Walks of Roma.
